Graphite gaskets

Graphite sheet gaskets are high-quality gaskets used in demanding industrial applications.
These gaskets consist of a combination of graphite and a metal carrier, usually sheet metal.
Graphite offers excellent sealing properties, is temperature-resistant and resistant to chemical influences.
The metal carrier gives the gasket additional mechanical strength and stability.
This makes graphite sheet metal gaskets particularly suitable for use in high-temperature environments and in areas where aggressive chemicals are present, such as in the petrochemical, power plant and chemical processing industries.
They ensure a reliable seal, even under extreme conditions, and contribute to the safety and efficiency of systems.

Rubber-steel gaskets

Rubber-steel gaskets are robust and reliable sealing materials consisting of a combination of elastic rubber and solid steel.
This design combines the flexibility and adaptability of rubber with the strength and pressure resistance of steel, making it a preferred choice for many industrial applications.

The rubber component provides an effective seal by adapting to uneven surfaces and compensating for vibration and movement.
The steel core also provides the gasket with the necessary structural strength and prevents excessive deformation or failure under high pressure conditions.
Rubber-steel gaskets are often used in the automotive, mechanical engineering and oil and gas industries.

Our standard product range includes the following elastomer materials

  • NBR
  • EPDM (drinking water compliant)
  • FKM

O-rings FFKM

Highest elastomer class | Highest chemical resistance

FFKM O-rings are elastomer seals made from the high-performance material perfluoro rubber (known as FFKM or abbreviated as FFPM).
This material combines the elasticity and sealing force of a pure elastomer with the chemical resistance of PTFE.

Due to their special material properties, FFKM O-rings are primarily used in the chemical industry, semiconductor industry, vacuum technology, bioanalytics, oil and gas industry and also in the food industry, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

O-rings made of FFKM meet the highest requirements for sealing performance and at the same time offer exceptional chemical resistance and thermal stability.
FFKM O-rings are resistant to almost all chemicals and can be used at temperatures of up to + 330 °C (depending on the type of FFKM used).

FFPM is primarily used in critical areas with extreme conditions where other materials are no longer fit for purpose after a short time.
Where conventional materials fail, perfluoroelastomers (FFKM/FFPM) are the most cost-effective and reliable long-term solution.

The advantages of FFKM O-rings at a glance

  • Highest chemical resistance of all elastomer materials
  • High temperature resistant up to +330 °C, depending on the FFKM type used
  • Operating temperature -15 to + 330°C (special FFKM types also from -45°C)
  • Resistant to hot water and steam
  • Optimum vacuum behavior
  • Very low compression set
  • Fulfillment of high safety and cleanliness requirements
  • Application-oriented and available in many different types
  • Different approvals available

Our product range includes a wide range of FFKM types, depending on the individual application.
We supply FFKM O-rings with FDA or USP VI approval and Norsok M 710 / NACE 0207 conformity.

Good to know!

FFKM was launched on the market under the brand name Kalrez® by the company DuPont.
However, the latest generation of materials are at least comparable to the original Kalrez® materials.
In the meantime, other manufacturers (brands) have established themselves on the market alongside Kalrez®.

Kalrez® is a registered trademark of DuPont Dow Elastomers
